Jed Boal ReportingAs winter weather blows into the Wasatch Front again, the timing couldn't be better for the resorts, especially Park City.

The ski town is kicking off an olympic-size celebration, complete with athletes, entertainment and the best early conditions in years.

The celebration of America's Opening is going to get started this evening. After a handful of years with some really bad luck, all of the pieces seem to be falling in place this year.

This good and early ski season just keeps getting better with each new snowfall. Race conditions are never guaranteed for America's Opening in Park City Mountain Resort, but this year all the risks will likely pay off."

Krista Rowles, Park City Resort: "It started snowing on October 30 and it did not stop."

Race crews are prepping the course for Saturday's giant slalom and Sunday's slalom. Businesses Lodges and restaurants are getting ready for crowds.

Krista Rowles, Park City Resort: "It's a time to celebrate. It's a time to get the community together to root on our American athletes."

Former Olympians got out on the slopes today with Park City school kids to raise money for the Park City Education Foundation.

Everyone is inspired by the snowfall and are eager to make up for previous winters that just didn't make the big dumps.

That fundraiser was a great start. Park City Mountain Resort was able to raise more than $50,000 for the Park City Education Foundation.
