(St. George-AP) -- Former Springdale town Manager Glenn E. Hill has been accused of taking more than 150 thousand dollars.

The second-degree felony charges of misusing public moneys and embezzlement were filed Monday in fifth District Court.

Court documents allege that from July 2001 to June 2002, Hill paid himself an unauthorized amount of 46-thousand, 20 dollars. They also allege that from July 2002 to July 2003, Hill paid himself an unauthorized amount of 107-thousand, 827 dollars.

Hill and former town Clerk Teri Hatch were placed on administrative leave by the Town Council on July ninth and both were fired later that month.

Hill declined comment.
