(KSL News) A Sandy man died Monday afternoon in a house fire.
Neighbors called 911 after seeing smoke coming from the basement of the home at 780 E. Duck Creek Avenue.
Fire fighters say flames quickly engulfed the basement, making it hard to get inside. They were able to put the flames out, but it was too late.
They found the man's body in the basement. No one else was injured.
Investigators are still looking for a cause.
