DRAPER, Utah (AP) -- The Utah National Guard will honor Utah National Guard Charitable Trust donors with a special ceremony.

Maj. Gen. Brian Tarbet, adjutant general of the Utah National Guard, will recognize and thank donors on Tuesday who contributed money to benefit the trust.

The trust disburses funds on a charitable basis to offset financial hardships incurred by families during deployments.

In 2008, the trust was chosen as the top entity in the Community Development category from among 16 medalists at the 2008 Best of State awards.
