(Rio De Janeiro, Brazil-AP) -- Brazilian Police made an arrest today in the murder of a Shell executive and his wife from Utah.

Police say a caretaker for one of the couple's neighbors killed Todd and Michelle Staheli with a crowbar.

The couple were beaten to death in their bed last November.

Their two older children slept through the attack in other rooms.

State police in Rio De Janeiro arrested 20-year-old Jociel Conceicao dos Santos.

The man, who is black, told police he was upset over an alleged racial slur made by Todd Staheli.

Police released no information on that supposed slur.

The caretaker's arrest was surprising because police for months have been saying the crime appeared to be the work of highly paid professionals or a household member.

There were no signs of forced entry at the home.

Staheli was a native of Spanish Fork, Utah.

His wife was from Logan, Utah.
