RIVERTON, Utah (AP) -- Salt Lake County is breaking ground on a new senior center in Riverton.
The 19,000-square-foot building will provide services for seniors in Riverton, Bluffdale and Herriman. The center will offer meals, exercise equipment, classes and regular programs.
Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon and Riverton Mayor Bill Applegarth will be among those at the groundbreaking at noon on Thursday.
Salt Lake County Aging Services provides programs and services for about 128,000 residents who are age 60 or older.
