DENVER (AP) -- A court filing indicates Vail Resorts Inc. no longer is seeking control of The Canyons ski resort in Park City, Utah.

Broomfield, Colo.-based Vail Resorts had challenged American Skiing Co.'s plans in 2007 to sell the 3,700-acre Utah ski area for $100 million to an affiliate of Toronto-based Talisker Corp. It said it was working with American Skiing on its own plan to acquire the resort before the sale was announced.

A motion that Vail Resorts filed Tuesday in Denver District Court indicates it won't try to reverse the sale, but Vail Resorts said it would reserve the right to seek monetary damages.
