(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Salt Lake County Mayor Nancy Workman and her daughter may be the targets of an investigation.
The Deseret News reports in a copyright story today that the county's district attorney has launched an investigation into why county money went into funding two employees at a Boys and Girls Club who reported to Workman's daughter Aisza (aye-szah).
The mayor and the district attorney are declining to comment about specifics of the investigation. But the newspaper reports the matter began this week when the district attorney received an anonymous phone call about a phantom employee within the county's health division.
Workman calls it "politics at its worst". She says her daughter is getting married today and it's an election year.
