RIVERTON -- A blown tire contributed to a smashed-pumpkin mess on Bangerter Highway Wednesday morning.
The truck was eastbound just past 2700 West when the driver says a flat-bed trailer blew a tire.
"It lost control and it started spinning, and it hit the guard rail," one of the passengers told KSL. "Pumpkins flew everywhere."
Some even went over the center divider and into oncoming lanes.
The smashed up squashes were spread out over a quarter mile, but no damage or injuries were reported. Some lanes were closed as a street sweeper worked to clean up the mess.
