(KSL News) Despite being diagnosed with a rare form of congestive heart failure, a South Jordan woman still finds the strength to help others.
Mandy Bennett's husband says she deserves a High 5 for being a strong lobbyist for heart research and an inspirational wife and mother.
Three years ago, when she was just 25 years old, at the birth of their first child, doctors diagnosed her with peripartum cardiomyopathy.
Instead of letting that diagnosis get her down, she's continued to be a strength to all those around her. She's also a spokesperson for the Utah American Heart Association.
Thane Bennett, Nominated wife: "Honey, I just wanted to recognize you for all that you've been through for the past three years. We've been through a lot with your heart condition and with Sawyer. You mean everything to me. I don't know what I'd be doing without you. I'm glad you're still around, and I love you."
Mandy Bennett, Nominated by husband: "I'm surprised. Overwhelmed. Thank you. I appreciate it."
