FRUIT HEIGHTS, Utah (AP) -- Soon there will be no more billboards along U-S 89 near Fruit Heights.
The City Council voted unanimously to adopt a sign ordinance prohibiting the billboards and off-premise signs in the city and along the highway.
But city officials say any off-premise signs posted before the ordinance was passed are protected under a grandfather clause and will be allowed to remain.
