(KSL News) -- Salt Lake County police have arrested a man accused of selling fake airline tickets.

Investigators say John Maycock bought airline tickets from travel agencies and sold them to at least 15 people.

Many of the tickets were good one-way, but then left travelers stranded in places as far away as Europe.

Police say Maycock often bought the tickets with stolen credit cards.

Authorities believe he's scammed agencies and travelers out of at least $80,000.
