(KSL News) -- A fight between two men who were drinking early this morning sent one of them to the hospital and the other to jail.
The fight broke out after midnight in an Orem neighborhood. A woman's new boyfriend along with her brother got into an argument after finishing their drinks. The fight got physical and police say the boyfriend grabbed a knife and stabbed the woman's brother.
Lt. Doug Edwards, Orem Police Dept.: "We had a 34-year old man who produced a pocket knife and stabbed the brother in the chest one time. And then, according to witnesses, went over to the truck he was driving, grabbed a 22 caliber revolver and took a shot at the victim."
Fortunately that shot missed. The suspect Brian Lytle was later arrested.
The victim was treated and released at the hospital.
