ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- Saturday afternoon thunderstorms sparked four fires in southern Utah and the Arizona Strip.
However, the largest -- the Tower Fire -- is only estimated to be five acres. NO homes or structures are being threatened by the fire.
Firefighters say they have made good progress and have a retardant line around the fire's perimeter, about 15 miles northwest of St. George.
Officials say the fire should be contained yet tonight. About 50 firefighters, two engines, one hand crew, eight smokejumpers, two seats and heavy air tankers are working the fire.
Officials say NONE of the other fires was larger than a single tree.
