WEST VALLEY CITY -- The West Valley Police Department veteran charged this week with six counts of dealing in material harmful to a minor and one count of enticing a minor over the Internet has resigned from the force.

Douglas Paulsen, 41, is accused of trying to meet a 15-year-old boy at the Layton Mall. The teen he thought he was meeting was actually an undercover investigator.

Paulsen was also the school resource officer at Hunter High. West Valley police are now conducting an investigation to make sure there are no victims at the high school.
