Kimberly Houk ReportingIf you have a student going to Sandy Elementary School, listen up. Yesterday's school fire will affect where your child will now be going to school.

Come Monday morning, no student will be allowed back in the building. Inside there's been extensive smoke and water damage and the Jordan School District has no idea how long it will take to clean up.

Monday morning, this is what will change for your student. Students need to show up here at Sandy Elementary School at 8:30 in the morning and then more than 600 students will be bussed to another school nearby.

For those students who ride the bus to Sandy Elementary School, they will stay on their normal bus schedule. And to accommodate those students, school hours are changing.

School will now start at 9:00 in the morning and let out at 3:35. Busses will return all the students back there at 4:00.

For those students on the elementary school breakfast program, the first meal of the day will now be served at Sandy's Boys and Girls Club.

Authorities confirmed, today, the fire was started when welders, working in a utility room, caught some insulation on fire. No one knows how long it will take to repair the school.
