FARMINGTON -- A Davis County landmark will be missing from the skyline for a while.
Lagoon started dismantling its big Ferris wheel Tuesday to check its structural integrity and give it a new coat of paint.
After each season, the park does similar maintenance on a select few rides; this time it's the Ferris wheel's turn.
Lagoon officials promise the 150-foot wheel will be back up and running by the beginning of the 2010 season.
