SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A woman charged with killing her ex-husband has been committed to the Utah State Hospital.
Fifty-nine-year-old Azize Wilson has not been found competent to stand trial in the six years that have passed since her husband was killed in 1998.
The murder case against Wilson will remain active in the slaying of Guy Wilson if Azize Wilson becomes well enough to be prosecuted.
Wilson's attorney says her client suffers from a delusional persecutory illness.
Guy Wilson was shot to death on July 13, 1998, during a custody battle over the couple's two children.
He had come over to fix his ex-wife's air conditioner when she allegedly shot at him eleven times with a six-shot revolver. He was hit seven times.
