(KSL News) -- You drink, you drive, you lose. That's the message from the Utah Highway Patrol this holiday season.

Over the next two weeks UHP troopers will work 1300 hours of overtime to keep the roads safe from drunk drivers. The money to pay the overtime is coming from federal funds.

The patrols will focus on areas where drunk driving has been a problem in the past.

December is National drunk and drugged driving prevention month.
