OREM, Utah (AP) -- Presidents' Day proved to be costly for some Utah drivers.
Police pulled over one-hundred and eleven people in just five hours yesterday in Utah County.
The speed-limit enforcement effort started at nine a-m and ended at two p-m. Officers focused on I-15 from American Fork to the Point of the Mountain.
Utah Highway Patrol Sergeant Brett Christensen said many of those stopped were cited for multiple violations. Officers wrote 97 tickets and 46 warnings.
Christensen said their main focus was on speeding, following too close and unsafe lane changes.
He said speeding was their biggest violation -- with 64 tickets handed out.
The highest clocked speed was 94 miles-per-hour in the 65 miles-per hour zone.
