SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Organizers of the annual LDS Film Festival have issued a call for film and scriptwriting entries for the 2010 Mormon-themed film event.

The ninth annual festival will run Jan. 20-23 at the SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem.

Festival organizers are looking for films and scripts in three categories including feature films 60 minutes or longer, short films of 20 minutes or less and special screenings that run between 20 and 60 minutes.

In addition to screenings and discussion forums, the festival holds a seven-page script competition and a 24-hour filmmaking marathon.

The deadline for entries is Dec. 1. Entry forms and other details are available on the festival website at www.ldsfilmfestival.org/index.
