(KSL News) Now that Saratoga Springs is going to have its own police force it has appointed Gary Hicken as its first Chief of Police.
Hicken, who is from Lindon, recently retired as the Chief of Police in Buena Park, California. He will be responsible for creating the city's first police department.
Saratoga Springs had been under the jurisdiction of the Utah County Sheriff.
