(KSL News) -- Officials are working to clear a major fuel spill in South Salt Lake this afternoon.
Officials don't have all the details yet, but it looks like a semi-truck punctured its fuel tank on a curb near 4646 S. 300 West.
It ended up leaking more than 100 gallons of diesel fuel. Today's rain made the fuel spread faster.
Officials think they have the spill contained, but right now they're checking storm drains.
If the fuel gets into the water table, it could contaminate surrounding creeks.
