OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Two Ogden police officers are on paid leave after both were arrested for driving under the influence in separate, off-duty incidents.
Ogden polict Lt. Scott Sangberg says Det. Robert Buck, 34, and officer Jared Ingalsbe, 28, are both on paid leave. Sangberg says both a criminal investigation and an internal investigation are under way.
According to a police report, Ingalsbe was arrested June 30, after he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and hit two power poles in Harrisville. The crash caused $13,000 in damages.
Buck was arrested In Harrisville on Aug. 30 after an officer saw him speeding and drifting over the striped line. In a police report, he admits to having had "too many to be driving."
The report says Buck had a blood alcohol level of 0.122, above the 0.08 legal limit.
