Officers nab 27 DUIs, plan more checkpoints

SALT LAKE CITY -- Officers across the state will be on the lookout for drunk drivers again Saturday night.

Over the past few weekends, law enforcement agencies have set up DUI checkpoints to catch impaired drivers.

Saturday night, South Salt Lake will set up checkpoints, and Utah Highway Patrol will have an extra 15 to 20 troopers on the roads.

Friday night they nabbed 27 people driving drunk.
