Nishi GuptaGraduating from medical school is an accomplishment in itself, but imagine graduating from med school at age 24. It happened at the University of Utah.

This woman is no stranger to big accomplishments. Receiving her medical degree today was just the latest. Eryn Caamano walked across the stage towards a future she worked so hard to get. This young woman is now a doctor.

Her accomplishments are many; the list is breath-taking. She entered high school at age 12, at 14 she was a freshman at the University of Utah. By 19 she had her college degree and today, at age 24, she became an MD.

Eryn Caamano: “It's so exciting, I love it. It's been my life-long dream to be a doctor and I'm so excited to be here."

And Eryn feels lucky to be here; several years ago she had a tough fight with leukemia. She took a year off from college for treatment. Tthe cancer is now in remission. She continues to look ahead, and there's no stopping this young woman, she's already got a job lined up Seattle as a surgery resident.

There is another interesting thing about Eryn. Although she has her medical degree, to this day, she does not have a high school diploma. She says she tested out of those requirements in junior high and never looked back.
