(KSL News) -- A fender bender in Salt Lake City turned into a bizarre police chase today.

It started at the Chuck-A-Rama parking lot on 400 South. The suspect got into a small accident with another car. But when the drivers started exchanging info, the other driver, says, the suspect became angry, got back into his car and purposely rammed the other car, then just took off.

He ran over some trax lines and took down some stop signs. After a couple of blocks he got out of the car.

A police officer spotted him and pepper-sprayed him to calm him down.

It turns out the man was having a diabetic episode.
