SALT LAKE CITY -- Police seized a 9-foot tall marijuana plant while serving a search warrant at a Salt Lake City home.

Police say the 59-year-old homeowner allowed detectives to search her home near 1500 South and 1000 East just after 9 p.m. Thursday. They found the marijuana plant in the backyard.

Inside the home detectives found more marijuana, a loaded firearm and other drug paraphernalia.

Charges will be screened for possession of a firearm by restricted person, cultivating marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
