SALT LAKE CITY -- Police arrested a Salt Lake City woman who they say got angry over a card game and took her frustrations out on her husband.

The 58-year-old woman was playing cards with her husband, daughter, and the daughter's friend Sunday evening near 800 West and 300 North.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports during the game the woman started throwing shot glasses at her husband and daughter. The daughter and her friend left.

According to court documents, the woman then grabbed a cane and started beating her husband on the head. The cane broke and she threatened to stab her husband with it. She then grabbed a baseball bat and continued hitting him.

She was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for aggravated assault. Her bail is set at $25,000.

In an unrelated incident earlier this month, an Orem man was arrested for threatening his nephew and slapping a woman after losing a game of UNO.
