SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A new LDS temple is opening its doors to the public.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is inviting the public to tour its newly built temple in Newport Beach, California.
The First Presidency of the Church announced an open house will begin this Saturday and run through August 20th.
Following the open house, the temple will be dedicated on August 28th.
The Newport Beach Temple is the sixth operating temple of the L-D-S Church in California and the 122nd temple worldwide.
The new temple will serve nearly 50-thousand Mormons living in Orange County.
