TAYLORSVILLE -- Two people were shot, leaving one dead, in Taylorsville Sunday night.

It happened at Majestic Oaks mobile home park, near 750 W. Little Matterhorn Drive (4635 S.) at about 9:10 p.m. Police say two males knocked on the door of the mobile home. When the door opened, shots were fired.

We've been told a 33-year-old man died. A female was also shot. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but we don't know her current condition.

Police are still searching for the suspects.

Police say there were two young witnesses in the home and, in fact, it was a juvenile who called 911.

Taylorsville Police Chief Del Craig said, "We got the report, I believe the report came from one of the juveniles. And, of course, we've taken the children away from here to try to look out after their well-being."

Neighbor Ami Pilling said, "It's a terrifying, terrifying thing, especially when you don't know what's going on. It's very scary."

Pilling told KSL she heard six shots fired. She ran outside and saw the police cars.
