FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Kheli Dube scored three goals to give the New England Revolution a 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake on Sunday night.

Dube scored his first goal in the ninth minute, when he converted a low cross from midfielder Mauricio Castro. The Zimbabwean forward followed 20 minutes later when he knocked in a rebound after Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando made a diving save on Michael Videira.

Dube, a finalist for MLS Rookie of the Year after scoring four goals last year, completed the first hat trick of his career in the 67th, as he flicked a cross by Shalrie Joseph into the back of the net.

RSL got a consolation goal with five minutes to play when forward Pablo Campos' header in front of the net ricocheted off defender Darrius Barnes' shin and past goalkeeper Matt Reis.

Dube doubled his season total and moved into a tie with Joseph and midfielder Steve Ralston for the lead on the Revolution (8-6-6).

New England, which lost 6-0 at Salt Lake (7-9-6) on April 25, is 4-1-2 over its last seven to move into a tie with Toronto for third in the Eastern Conference.

Salt Lake is 1-8-2 on the road, where it has been outscored 17-6.
