HYRUM, Utah (AP) -- A ranch dog in Woodruff has earned himself a name after going missing for three months.
George Frazier says he always just called the fluffy Great Pyrenees "big ole white dog," before he vanished in September.
But after making a 25 mile trek from the Frazier's sheep ranch near Woodruff through the mountains to Wellsville, the dog needs a name, he says.
The dog disappeared in late September as Frazier was shipping off some lambs on his ranch. He knew immediately he was missing one of his sheep dogs, but thought the dog might have just wandered to a neighboring ranch.
A family in Wellsville found the dog on Christmas Day.
The dog is in relatively good shape -- he's missing a patch of fur on his back side and has an abscess in his front right paw.
