SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Utah Division of Arts and Museums is accepting applications for its 2010 Visual Arts Fellowships.

The division will award two $10,000 fellowships to Utah residents who aren't enrolled in a degree- or certificate-granting program.

The fellowships are intended to support the development of artists as professionals in their fields.

The artwork of fellowship recipients is featured in an exhibition every other spring. The 2010 fellowship winners will be featured in March 2011.

Fellowships are open to artists working in the areas of crafts, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, artist's bookmaking, and working in new genres, conceptual arts and video.

Applications are available at artsandmuseums.utah.gov.
