A man driving a stolen car botched his getaway, big time.
A West Valley City police officer noticed the driver acting suspiciously. So he ran a check on the license plate and discovered the car was stolen.
By this time, the man realized he was being followed and pointed out the window to distract the officer.
Then the driver made a U -turn and tried to speed away, but he ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle.
The two drivers received minor injuries. But a passenger in the other car had more serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
