(KSL News) Utah's liquor chief is defending the agency, after an audit discovered retired employees were re-hired.
An audit of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control found 12 people retired, then returned to the same jobs after a six month waiting period.
Critics call the practice double dipping, because it allows people to collect retirement benefits while getting a regular paycheck. But the director of the agency says it's legal.
The legislature may look at the issue, but at this time, there are no proposals in the works to change the system.
