(KSL News) A string of Oxycontin robberies could finally be over. A man, possibly responsible for a string of Oxycontin robberies in Utah County, is in jail this morning.
Police say 32-year-old Danny Hooley was arrested in connection with a robbery at a Walgreen's pharmacy in Orem.
Officials say he walked into the pharmacy and demanded Oxycontin. The pharmacist was worried he had a gun and gave him the drugs. The robber took off. But later officers pulled over Hooley and found six bottles of Oxycontin.
According to police, Hooley confessed to two other robberies, one at another store 30 minutes earlier, where he took three bottles of Oxycontin. Store employees caught him. Hooley gave the drugs back and was let go.
The other was at an Albertson's in Lehi back in October.
Surveillance video shows the pharmacist giving him the drugs after he allegedly said he would "shoot up the place."
Hooley is also suspected in a few other robberies, though he didn't confess to those. He is being held on 10-thousand dollar cash-only bail.
