CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- Police are still investigating this morning after a 9-year-old boy was hit by a truck and dragged about 50 feet.
The incident happened yesterday while the boy was crossing the street. Police say the boy, who has NOT been identified, was trapped under the truck for about 30 minutes while crews worked to free him.
Officers say he was then taken to Valley View Medical Center.
Authorities say a second boy was also hit by the vehicle. He apparently suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Witnesses told police the pickup hit one boy dead center and grazed the other.
The incident remains under investigation.
