LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Divers have recovered the body of a man who drowned at Tony Grove Lake near Logan.
Search efforts for the man were suspended late Wednesday. Crews recovered his body on Thursday morning, The Herald Journal in Logan reported on its website.
The Cache County sheriff's office says the man and a friend had tried to swim across the lake Wednesday but the man had a problem and went under the water. Authorities say others tried to reach him but couldn't.
The man's friend made it to a canoe and witnesses called police. A witness said neither swimmer was wearing a life jacket.
The sheriff's office had not released the man's name Thursday.
Tony Grove Lake is about 15 miles northeast of Logan.
