SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah House Minority Leader David Litvack is defending President Barack Obama's federal stimulus package.
Litvack and an adviser to Democratic Mayor Ralph Becker were scheduled to hold a conference call Thursday to tout how the spending has benefited Utah.
The Democrats say they're responding to critical comments made by Republican U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch. Litvack says the stimulus package has saved numerous jobs and gotten road projects under way across the state.
