TAYLORSVILLE -- A man who was critically injured after some sort of argument between neighbors has been released from the hospital.
Taylorsville police say the incident started near 3900 South and 700 West just before 11 p.m. Monday. As many as five people may have been involved in the altercation.
Originally police thought one man was stabbed, but now they say his injuries were more consistent with blunt force trauma.
A relative of the victim started to drive him to the hospital but ended up stopping at a fast food restaurant to call for help. He was taken to a hospital but has been released.
Police returned to the apartment complex and took a suspect into custody for questioning. He has since been released and the investigation is ongoing. Police expected the district attorney's office to screen aggravated assault charges against the suspect later Tuesday.
