SARATOGA SPRINGS -- A car ran over a 2-year-old boy in a church parking lot Sunday afternoon.
The accident happened at a meetinghouse for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2105 N. Providence Dr. in Saratoga Springs.

The boy was standing behind a car when the driver backed out, knocked the boy over and ran over him. The driver of the vehicle was not related to the victim.
The toddler was flown by Life Flight to Primary Children's Medical Center in critical but stable condition.
Police say it's important for drivers to always be on the lookout. "You can look behind your vehicle, but sometimes you do need to do a double take or even a triple take. This is one of those situations," said Cpl. Aaron Rosen of the Saratoga Springs Police Department.
Police say summer can be an especially dangerous time for children playing in the streets, since many kids are out of school.
