SALT LAKE CITY -- Sheriff's deputies have identified a Salt Lake City man who drowned in Idaho Saturday.
57-year-old Michael Ashe was floating down the Payette River with his brother when they encountered a log jam.
Ashe was pulled underneath, but his brother grabbed hold of the jam and stayed above water.
A group of rafters helped pull the men to shore. They revived the brother with CPR, but Ashe didn't make it.
Idaho deputies say neither man was wearing a life jacket.
