SALT LAKE CITY -- A Utah man drowned in an Idaho river Saturday afternoon.
Deputies say two men were floating down the Payette River on tubes just after 3:00, when they came around a corner and got stuck against a group of logs.
One man was unable to get unpinned, and slipped underneath the water.
A group of rafters pulled the men to separate sides of the river and began CPR.
They were able save one of the men, but a 57-year-old man from the Salt Lake area did not survive.
