Taylorsville man stabbed by burglars

TAYLORSVILLE -- Police are looking for two men who walked into a Taylorsville apartment Saturday and stabbed the person inside.

According to the Taylorsville Police Department, the stabbing happened at the Summerwood Apartments near 2000 West and Fallwood Drive.

Police say a 27-year-old man opened his door around 2:30 a.m. to find the two suspects waiting on the doorstep. The men walked inside, stabbed the victim in the arm and leg, ransacked his apartment and stole his car from the parking lot.

Emergency crews transported the victim to Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition.

Police are now looking for the victim's car. It is a brown 2003 Toyota Corolla with the license plate number Z540DZ.

It has a sticker of a grenade and an El Salvadorian flag in the back window.
