STOCKTON, Utah (AP) -- Workers at Deseret Chemical Depot discovered a container leaking mustard agent vapor today.
The leak was discovered during routine monitoring operations in a storage igloo.
Depot workers in protective clothing removed the leaking container to a different structure where the valves were replaced.
Storage igloo's at the depot are covered by earth and the air inside is filtered. The depot says no vapor escaped, and there was no danger to the surrounding community
The depot is about 40 miles west of Salt Lake City near Tooele.
