(KSL News) Hazmat crews checked out 48 different locations because of a suspicious powder.
That powder turned out to be styrofoam that leaked from a package onto a number of letters.
One of those letters was delivered to the South Salt Lake police department and a clerk there called Hazmat.
Authorities checked out the post office where the letters originated, and 48 other locations, where those letters were delivered this afternoon, before determining what the substance was.
