WEST VALLEY CITY -- A 14-year-old girl was seriously injured when she ran into traffic and was hit by a truck in West Valley City.
It happened around 2:30 Friday afternoon at 1585 West and 3300 South.
Witnesses say the girl tried to sprint across the street and was not in a crosswalk.
She was taken to the hospital with head injuries. West Valley City police say she's in serious condition.
