SALT LAKE CITY -- A broken water main turned 700 East into a small river Wednesday afternoon. Salt Lake police say the break happened near 1560 South and seriously damaged the road.
As luck would have it, several people happened to drive by with a water main wrench and were able to stop the flow before things could get worse.
Crews are working to repair it, but it could take days.
