LOGAN -- The Logan City Council is taking action on payday lenders.
Council members voted 4-1 Tuesday night to cap the number of payday loan businesses in town at one for every 10,000 residents.
The statute means Logan is already in violation of its own new law. The city has 13 payday lenders and not quite 50,000 residents.
